Today is Me Me's birthday - she's turning 29 again .... wait, that can't be true - that would mean I am older than my mom ... AHAHA!
Have a super day and eat lots of cake!

Elliot passed the ECI screening :)
It's not surprising now that he's walking like a mad man, but the ECI lady came by today to check him out. He passed the motor skills portion with flying colors - phew!
We talked a bit about his speech because he barely passed the speech portion.
She said a lot of times when kids are working on their motor skills they don't work on their speech skills, soooo she suggested we wait until his 18 month check up before we get concerned.
If he doesn't have 10-15 words at that time (half of which other people can understand) we can have a speech person come out for an evaluation.
It's so weird ... we never thought about this with Emily - she did everything "on time" and always had way more words than expected for her age and still talks a lot (some might say she talks TOO much ...HA)

Winnie Visit
We went to visit Winnie over the weekend. It was great visiting with everyone! What was even more fun is we left Emily behind for a few days.
Man, Wayne and I are going to really love summer time when Elliot is old enough to go for weekend visits too - does that make us bad parents?!? HA!
I didn't take many pictures (UGH!) but we ate, drank, swam and visited with everyone - good times!
We even got to celebrate two birthdays - Chris (18th) and MeMe (27th)!
I tried to get a good picture of the kids in the rice field, but it didn't work out real well ... one of them was always making a funny face!

rice is looking good
Pink Eye ... yucky!
Poor Elliot ... we took him to the doctor thinking he had goopy allergy eyes, and found out he has Pink Eye and an Ear Infection (joys!) ... good thing Emily is still in Winnie or we'd probably have Pink Eye for months ... HA!
Elliot is still in good spirits, he isn't sleeping all that well, but other than that he's his regular happy self!

Emily's trip to Nana and Grandfather's
Emily had a fun filled weekend visiting Nana and Grandfather over the weekend!
She went to the city pool and had a great time sliding and swimming on Saturday, then she went for a ride on the RiverWalk barge. I think she said she convinced Traci to play Littlest Petshops (at least she didn't bring them ALL with her this trip - HA)
Sunday they went for a bike ride and stopped in Boerne to go fishing on their way home!
She didn't catch any fish, but had a GREAT time trying!
She must have kept everyone super busy because she slept until 8:40am this morning - HA!
Too bad Elliot didn't do that too (he's become our early riser and always gets up between 6-7am!)

Elliot is a walking pro now ....
Elliot is becoming a walking pro! He has learned how to stand up without help ... and can walk a pretty long ways before fallin' down. He's going to be an old pro by the time ECI comes for a visit.
I'll get some pictures of him in action soon.

Happy 4th!
Happy 4th of July!
Elliot is finally taking some steps!!! Too bad he didn't start before we went to see Dr Booker who wants us to have ECI (Early Childhood Intervention) take a peek at him. He's not super duper concerned, but said he'd rather send 100 kids to ECI and find out there is nothing wrong then miss one with a problem. So, they are calling us back to make an appointment over the next few weeks.
His stats from his 15month appointment are:
23.1 lbs
31.78 inches long
49 cm head (big ol' nog)
OK, funny enough, we all seem to think he's a big ol' boy. But, I just looked at Emily's stats from this age and they are pretty close ... he's not as HUGE as we think I guess!
At 15m Emily was:
22.5lbs
30 inches long
48.5 cm head
We don't have many plans for the 4th - we COULD have been in Winnie with tons of BBQ and food and drinks and pool time, but Wayne has to work (why in the world is Emler open tonight??) and then I got sick last week and still don't feel 100%, so we are going to take it pretty easy this weekend.
Maybe we'll get in some school (ACK!!!) shopping with all the 4th of July sales!
Have a super duper day!
