Blue Hole Park in Georgetown

We were looking for something to do today after church and decided to go check out Blue Hole Park in Georgetown ... I bet it's gorgeous when we've had rain ... but with no rain, there weren't many places the kids could swim (not too many shallow areas) ... it as still fun ... we could have done without the cursing teenagers, and should have brought noodles or floats of some sort ... but it was a fun way to spend the day!!

We are going to try some other places as the summer heat continues and are looking for family friendly suggestions ... with water or AC ... HA

Painting Painting Painting

Awhile back I saw an idea in one of the family magazines for “cheap” artwork in kid rooms

They suggested finding some cheap canvas and have the kiddos paint with colors from the room. So I picked up some cheap canvas at Michael’s and we let Emily, Elliot and Caitlyn create some master pieces for the play room!

When we get them on the wall, I’ll post another picture … I bet they’ll look GREAT!

This is what happens to baaaaad little children ....

4th of July fun ...

Emily called and left a message for Paw Paw that said "will you come watch fireworks with me" so Me Me and Paw Paw drove up here for the 4th of July.

We ate watermelon, the kids played in the sprinklers and we watched some pretty fireworks. We didn't have the BEST seat for fireworks, but they were far enough away that Emily wasnt super freaked out from the noise.Me Me put some pictures on her blog

Here are some more!

New big boy hair cut!

Wayne took Elliot for a hair cut today and I asked him to go shorter since it's been so HOT lately. Wow, talk about looking like a BIG boy. What happened to my baby???

I included a picture of both kiddos with Lily. I couldn't get them both to smile at the same time of course ... HA!

Photos

I need to find a better way to download pictures.
I tend to leave them on the camera longer than I should because I don't want to spend the time it takes to get them off the camera, cropped, downloaded to zip drive and uploaded to Snapfish!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep up with digital pictures?

Trip to Winnie

We had a busy June and I am still trying to recover!

I learned that traveling with a puppy who got car sick (she seems fine if we don't feed her 6 hours before we leave!) and potty training toddler, a non-potty training toddler who wants to use the potty because the other potty training toddler is, and a 6 year old is loads of fun ... and by fun, I mean ... well, fun - HA!

Trina, Caitlyn, Elliot, Lily and I headed to Winnie to pick up Emily and stayed a few days. The kids got to play with chickens, pick green beans, swim, hold snakes, ride on gators, see the cows and just enjoy country life.

I have to share a funny from the trip ... A family bought some meat from Mom and Dad and when they called to order more, the guy told dad he really enjoyed the longhorn meat because it didn't make him fart. I keep trying to find a way to use that somewhere in their marketing material!

I don't know if I'll be able to convince Trina to take another trip with me, the kids and Lily, but maybe she'll forget the puking dog, the frequent stops, the HEAT in Winnie and eventually ride in our van again!

Here are a couple of pictures (the rest can be found in the snapfish link on the right!)

Bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles

When Emily is in SA she loves taking a bath in Nancy big jacuzzi tub. This time she convinced Nana to let her turn on the jets with some bubble bath and had the BEST time!

I LOVE this picture

Cool Grotto

More pictures from our SA visit ... I need to find a different way to post pictures, I just haven't done the research yet!

Here are some pictures of Carlos Cortes' fairy tale grotto. To read more about the grotto and see a video click here

Happy Late Birthday Eddie!

My goal tonight is to catch up on pictures ... hopefully it'll happen!

The weekend of Father's Day we were in San Antonio celebrating Eddie's 65th birthday.

Nancy had a GREAT Medicare cake made for him. It was super cute!
The party was a hit (I think he was surprised) and it was great to catch up with some family we had not seen in awhile.

Here are a few birthday shots ...
